QUYNH MAI

With 15 year’s experience at the top of the fashion industry, Quynh Mai has an insider’s knowledge of the business and a keen sense for where it’s heading. As Senior Vice-President of Lipman, the prestigious fashion and luxury advertising agency, Quynh personally managed the accounts of clients such as Burberry, David Yurman, BCBG, Smartwater and Diane von Furstenberg, among others. From devising and implementing strategies for her brands to supervising the production and media placement of multi-million dollar advertising campaigns on their behalf, Quynh’s wide-ranging responsibilities have left her with a unique appreciation of the needs and wants of fashion and luxury advertisers. Along the way, she has acquired intimate knowledge of the worlds of publishing and PR and developed significant ties to Hollywood, crafting and negotiating deals with such A-list talents as Angelina Jolie (for St. John) and Naomi Watts (for David Yurman), and overseeing branding projects for the likes of John Mayer and Mariah Carey.

Having worked extensively with fashion photographers such as Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, Peter Lindbergh, Steven Klein and Patrick Demarchelier, and models such as Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista and Gisele Bundchen, Quynh understands the business of image creation and communication from the perspective not only of advertisers but of image makers as well. Indeed, as an Executive Producer for Annie Leibovitz and while a producer and agent at Art Partner, one of the world’s foremost photographers’ agencies (representing Mario Testino), Quynh not only supervised projects and productions for top fashion photographers but assisted in the management and strategizing of their careers.

Whether working on the client’s side or the artist’s, Quynh has been well positioned to observe and embrace the continuing advancement of digital technology at all levels of image creation. Her unique understanding of how new technologies can be integrated into the complex and, for outsiders, sometimes impenetrable world of fashion has given her a special insight into the coming merger of digital video and traditional fashion advertising. In her new role as founder of Moving Image & Content, Quynh is helping to realize that merger through new forms of video content creation, digital branding and marketing.

MARK MAYER

Creative Advisor at Moving Image & Content, Mark builds teams of specialists and talent to execute each production to the precise creative vision of the client. A graduate of New York University with a degree in Studio Art and Art History, Mark brings 16 years of experience in the worlds of art, fashion and culture to his role. His industry relationships and extensive background producing photo shoots and events ensure robust and dynamic productions.

As Studio Manager and Executive Producer for Steven Klein, one of the world’s most acclaimed fashion photographers, Mark spent six years producing editorial shoots for such leading magazines such as American Vogue, French Vogue, Italian Vogue, W, i-D and POP, and advertising campaign shoots for the likes of Calvin Klein, Alexander McQueen, D&G, Dsquared, Armani and Valentino, among others. Along the way he picked up experience working with celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Madonna, Prince, The Rolling Stones and Justin Timberlake. In addition to founding Klein’s in-house production company, Mark produced exhibitions at Deitch Projects, New York, and the Musée de L’Elysée, Lausanne.

In 2006, Mark joined the prestigious Lipman advertising agency, where, as Senior Art Buyer and Executive Producer, he focused on video production and managed all art buying needs for clients such as David Yurman, Mariah Carey, Lord & Taylor and BCBG. While At Lipman, he learned the business behind the creative—the strategic marketing that feeds the creative ideas. The depth and diversity of Mark’s experience at the top levels of fashion photo and video production and art buying made him the perfect choice for Creative Advisor at Moving Image & Content.
